Purchases: Specific Items
In Purchases: Specific Items events, members must buy the items from the brand’s catalog specified by the rule to earn the outcomes associated with the rule. This event is useful for promoting specific items in the brand's catalog. For example, running a campaign to promote the introduction of a new item.
Core restrictions
Purchases: Specific Items events are constrained by the following core restrictions.
-
Qualifying Items
Specifies which items in the brands’ catalog are eligible to earn the outcome for a rule. Use the SKU picker to select individual items or entire categories of items. For example, you could select the entire category of screwdrivers, or you can drill down with the category and select specific screwdrivers.
See Qualifying Items for a detailed description.
-
Minimum Item Count
Specifies the fewest number of items that must be included in the transaction for members to earn the outcome.
See Minimum Item Count for a detailed description.
-
Maximum Item Count
Specifies the highest number of items in a transaction that count towards earning the outcome associated with this rule.
See Maximum Item Count for a detailed description.
-
Item Variety
Indicates whether members must buy one or more of the same items to earn the outcome or can purchase different items to earn the outcome. The default setting is “can be the same or unique items”, indicating that different types of items satisfy the condition. See Item Variety for a detailed description.
-
Transaction Variety
Indicates whether members must complete the rule in a single transaction or can spread the purchase across multiple transactions. By default, members must complete the rule in a single transaction.
See Transaction Variety for a detailed description.
-
Discount Eligibility
Indicates whether fully discounted items (items that have a zero-dollar value) should be included in determining the outcome earned by members. This restriction is disabled by default.
See Discount Eligibility for a detailed description.
Ancillary restrictions
The following ancillary restrictions further constrain Purchases: Specific Items events.
